Traffic disruptions expected at 1 p.m. today

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would like to advise the pubic of an upcoming traffic disruption in the areas of East Street, Queen Street East, Brock Street and Russ Ramsay Way that will take place today.

We have been notified of a rally under the “Idle No More” movement that is anticipated to start at 1 p.m.

The “Idle No More” movement will start from the Indian Friendship Centre on East Street to the Civic Centre.

Members of the public are advised to expect delays in the affected area and where possible look to alternate routes.

Members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service will be on scene monitoring the situation towards ensuring the safety of all pedestrian and vehicular traffic.
