Ontario's Progressive Conservative government rained $10 million on Northern Ontario today, for everything from cancer research to roads to water to communications technology.
One happy recipient of the Tory largess was Bruce Mines Mayor Jean Kettles (shown), whose community will use the money to finally lift a boil-water advisory that's been in effect since 1999.
Bruce Mines will get a $432,457 provincial contribution toward a $2.5 million water filtration plant.
Kettles is optimistic that her community will be able to stop boiling its water by this summer.
