************************* Seeking public’s assistance

On Tuesday, March 8, workers at Value Village, 248 Northern Avenue, located clothing with what they believe are valuable family possessions.

It is believed that the person(s) making the donation to Value Village may not have noticed that these family possessions were in with the donations.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is asking anyone who may have made a donation to Value Village between March 3 and March 8 to contact Constable Lillington, for the purpose of identifying the lost articles.

************************* Assault, mischief

Early yesterday morning, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 47-year-old female for assault and mischief.

It is alleged that the accused assaulted her boyfriend by kicking him.

It is further alleged that the accused committed the offence of mischief by throwing a glass vase through a window.

The accused is charged with one count of assault and one count of mischief.

The victim did not require medical attention.

************************* Threatening

Yesterday evening, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 32-year-old male for threatening.

It is alleged that on February 18, the accused threatened to kill his common-law wife.

The accused is charged with one count of threatening death.

************************* Assault

Last night, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 36-year-old female for assault and breach of probation.

It is alleged that the accused female assaulted her common-law husband by grabbing him by the throat.

It is further alleged that at the time of this offence the accused breached conditions of her probation order release by consuming alcohol and not keeping the peace.

The accused is charged with one count of assault and three counts of breach of probation.

************************* Theft

Yesterday afternoon, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 43-year-old female for theft under $5,000.

It is alleged that the accused female stole $29.49 worth of medication from the Station Mall Drug Mart.

The accused was arrested by store security and turned over to police.

Mary Kathryn Reid, age 43, of 434 McNabb Street Apartment 202 is charged with one count of theft under $5,000.

Ms Reid is to appear in court on April 11 at 9 a.m.

************************* Theft

Yesterday afternoon, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 32-year-old female for theft.

It is alleged that on January 26 and again on February 6, the accused entered the Wal-Mart store on Great Northern Road and stole merchandise.

The accused was identified through store video surveillance.

Jacqueline Gray, age 32, of no fixed address is charged with two counts of theft under $5,000.

Ms. Gray is to appear in court on April 11 at 9 a.m.

************************* Theft

Yesterday afternoon, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 37-year-old female for theft.

It is alleged that the accused entered Rome’s Independent Grocers and stole $53.15 worth of health and beauty products.

The accused was arrested outside the store by store security and turned over to police.

Rachel Pollari, age 37, of 174 Pim Street is charged with one count of theft under $5,000.

Ms. Pollari is to appear in court on April 11 at 9 a.m.

************************* Theft

Yesterday afternoon, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 19-year-old male for theft.

It is alleged that the accused entered Rome’s Independent Grocers and stole $8.49 worth of meat products.

The accused was arrested outside the store by store security and turned over to police.

William Fair, age 19, of 29 Lorna Drrive is charged with one count of theft under $5,000.

Mr. Fair is to appear in court on April 11 at 9 a.m.

************************* Break and enters

- A shed in the 100 block of Chestnut Street was entered – it is unknown at this time what was taken.

************************* Mischief

- A windshield was damaged on a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Willow Avenue.

- A canvas shed was damaged in the 100 block of Chestnut Street.

************************* Theft

- Vehicles were entered in the 500 block of Albert Street East and the 200 block of River Road. Personal papers and money was reported stolen.
