Sault Ste. Marie’s long list of homegrown contributions to NHL rosters will lengthen again tonight in Montreal.
Matt D’Agostini will be making his big-time debut with the Canadiens as they host the Buffalo Sabres.
The Habs summoned the 21-year-old local product from their Hamilton Bulldogs AHL farm team.
D’Agostini was enjoying his second straight 20-goal season with Hamilton.
The gritty winger was drafted by Montreal in 2005 and played in the OHL with the Guelph Storm.
