Tim Hortons launches Keurig® compatible single serve coffee cups: The newest way to enjoy Canada's favourite coffee

OAKVILLE, ON (August 12, 2013)  - Tim Hortons has launched K-Cup® compatible single serve coffee cups, adding to its selection of single serve and at-home brewing options.

Compatible for use in Keurig® K-Cup® machines, Tim Hortons guests can now enjoy the fresh taste of Canada's favourite coffee anytime.

Available in regular and decaf, Tim Hortons new single serve coffee cups feature the restaurant's premium blend coffee made with 100 percent Arabica beans from several of the world's most renowned coffee growing regions.

The single serve coffee cups are available in packs of 14 exclusively at participating Tim Hortons restaurants across Canada and timhortons.ca for $8.99 to $9.49.

"Whether in our restaurants, at home or on the go, we want to make it easy for our guests to enjoy a great tasting cup of Tim Hortons coffee," said Dave McKay, vice president, marketing, beverages, Tim Hortons. "The launch of our new Tim Hortons Keurig compatible single serve coffee cups, is yet another way we are able to bring our premium blend coffee to our guests and reinforce our coffee leadership in Canada."

According to Nielsen*, the Canadian single serve market represents approximately 33 per cent of total roast and ground retail sales dollars and continues to experience strong double digit growth.

"We recognize our guests can't always get to one of our restaurants, but still want a cup of Tim Hortons freshly brewed coffee. With nearly 80 per cent of coffee drinkers consuming coffee at home in the past day**, we are pleased to offer a new way to brew Canada's favourite coffee at home," says McKay.

Tim Hortons single serve coffee cups are not licensed by and have no affiliation with Keurig® or K-Cup®.
