************************* Purse-snatching investigation results in three more arrests
Investigations services officers with the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service have concluded their investigation in relation to the purse-snatching incident that occurred at Rome’s Independent Grocers on the 11th of September.
As a result, 38-year-old Cindy Diamond of #5-569 Queen Street West was arrested at the Algoma Remand and Treatment Center on the 16th of November at 10:15 a.m. and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.
She is to appear in bail court this morning.
The two other females, 20-year-old Hannah Harvey and 36-year-old Crystal Harvey, both of #207-441 Queen Street West, were arrested at their residence yesterday afternoon and charged each with one count of theft under $5,000. They are to appear in court on the 20th of December.
The three were allegedly involved in the theft of the purse from a shopper’s cart and were captured on store security surveillance cameras.
