Three dead in Hwy 11 crash

************************* Fatal motor vehicle collision

TEMAGAMI, ON - The Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is investigating a fatal motor vehicle collision involving two motor vehicles on Highway 11 approximately one kilometer north of Richfield Road that occurred at approximately 3:13 p.m. yesterday.

The two vehicles involved in the collision were a 1998 Chev Malibu which was southbound and a 1996 Plymouth Neon which was northbound.

There were three people pronounced dead at the scene of the motor vehicle collision.

Names of the persons are being withheld at this time until next of kin can be notified.

The Ontario Provincial Police technical traffic collision investigators, identification unit, Temagami and Marten River fire departments and ambulance attended to give assistance.

Highway 11 northbound and southbound lanes were closed from approximately 3:35 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
