Three charged in Spruce Street drug bust

CITY POLICE NEWS RELEASE

********************** At approximately 1:45 p.m. yesterday afternoon the Sault Ste Marie Police Services, the Provincial Weapons Unit, the O.P.P. and the joint Drug Force executed a search warrant at an address in the 200 block of Spruce Street.

The subsequent search of the premises resulted in the seizure of a variety of individually packaged drugs.

The drug seized included:

1. 263 grams of marijuana 2. 36 grams of cocaine. 3. 16 grams of hashish. 4. 34.8 grams of cannabis resin (hash oil). 5. 4 grams of Psilocybin ("Magic Mushrooms"). 6. 5 Morphine pills. 7. 40 ½ Codeine pills.

The estimated street value of the drugs is $10,107.50.

Police also seized $2,500 in cash and several firearms.

Charged with seven (7) counts of possession of a substance for the purpose of trafficking are:

1. Michael Walter Matuszyk, D.O.B.: 31 July 1955 of 206 Spruce St.

2. Lorraine Brigette Matuszyk, D.O.B.: 17 Oct 1958 of 206 Spruce St.

3. Frank Oviglio Sauve, D.O.B.: 18 Aug 1957 of 347 First Ave.

All three accused will be appearing in Bail Court at 10 a.m. this morning
