Three beaches reopen for swimming

ALGOMA PUBLIC HEALTH

************************** Algoma Public Health has removed the swimming advisory for:

- Old Mill Bay, located on Highway 17 North, Havilland Township

- Marks Bay, located on Airport Road, Sault Ste. Marie

- Harmony Beach, located on Highway 17 North, Havilland Township

Test results of water samples collected on July 30, 2009 met the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care guidelines for safe swimming.

Before swimming, take into consideration the past day’s weather and the current conditions of the beach.

The public is encouraged to visit the beach warnings section on Algoma Public Health’s website to view an interactive map of the beaches sampled and any current warnings or postings.
