Faithful SooToday.com reader Richard Vogl has advised us that those strange birds sighted earlier this week by Lorain Deciantis near Wishart Park actually belong to him.

Vogl informs us that he lets the birds fly free during the day as long as the weather is favourable.

"As long as it is above freezing, I let them fly," Vogl said.

With winter approaching, he tells us that his birds will soon be grounded until spring.

His feathered friends are trained to return home, and do so nightly between 4 and 5:30 p.m.

Vogl invites anyone interested in learning more about his birds to contact him at (705) 945-1333.
