SAULT STE. MARIE, ON - (December 15) - Twenty-two-year-old Thomas Jordan Sabourin of 125 Cambridge Place, unit 306 has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000, one count of possession of property obtained by crime - under $5,000, one count of breach of undertaking and one count of breach of recognizance.

He will be appearing in bail court this morning.

Eighteen-year-old Kenny Armstrong of 696 Pine Street, unit 2 has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000, one count of possession of property obtained by crime - under $5,000, one count of breach of undertaking and one count of breach of probation.

He will be appearing in bail court this morning.

On December 14, 2008 at approximately 8:20 p.m. the two above accused attended at a residence in the 900 block of Second Line West and [allegedly] stole a 2006 Chevy BLS.

They then [allegedly] drove the vehicle east on Second Line, lost control and landed in the ditch in front of civic 842.

Both accused fled the vehicle on foot.

Mr. Armstrong was apprehended a short distance away on Second Line and found to be under the influence of alcohol.

He was on an undertaking to not consume alcohol and on probation to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Thomas Sabourin was also apprehended a short distance away on Dryden Avenue and was [allegedly] found to be under the influence of alcohol.

He was on an undertaking and a recognizance to not consume alcohol.
