************************* Twenty-nine-year-old Allen Waboose of 352 Second Avenue was arrested on the 27th of July at 8:19 p.m. on Second Line West and charged with one count of theft under $5,000.

At approximately 8:13 p.m. last night, City Police received a call from a homeowner on Carufel Avenue who was following a male suspect that he found going through his vehicle.

It is alleged that when the homeowner observed the male inside his vehicle and approached him, he fled on a bicycle.

The complainant called police and followed the suspect in his vehicle.

The suspect stopped and the complainant attempted to apprehend him after observing the suspect with the Sirius satellite radio from his vehicle.

The suspect attempted to flee on foot but was apprehended by police that had arrived in the area.

The accused is to appear in court on the 31st of August.

************************* ELLIOT LAKE, ON - At 3:14 a.m. the East Algoma OPP in Elliot Lake received a call to attend Benner Place in Elliot Lake regarding a possible theft.

Investigation revealed that the victim had scared off three youth that had been going through his vehicle.

Missing from his vehicle was an XM radio.

Also noted was that a shed and garage located across the street had been entered. Unknown at this time if anything is missing.

Police patrolled the area and are continuing their investigation.
