************************* Break and enter reports

- An attempted break and enter occurred at the Roosevelt Hotel on the 21st of February at 1:11 a.m.

- The Medicine Shoppe on Queen Street East was entered on the 22nd of February at 4:33 a.m. Some prescription drugs were reported stolen.

- A residence on Pilgrim Street was entered during the day on the 21st of February. A DVD player was reported stolen.

- A residence on Pim Street was entered on the morning of the 20th of February. A cordless drill, a Skill saw, battery charger, a socket set and a Sony CD player were reported stolen.

- A garage on Chambers Avenue was entered on the 20th of February. A car stereo was stolen from a vehicle that was inside.

************************* Mischief reports

- Two bags of garbage left overnight on Fifth Line East were lit on fire on the 20th of February.

- A home on Field Square Drive and a vehicle parked on Pleasant Drive were egged.

- A vehicle on Forest Avenue was vandalized on the 20th of February.

************************* Thefts

Vehicles were entered on Biggings Avenue, Andrew Street, Lake Street, Pointe Louise Drive, in the Station Mall parking lot and on Primrose Avenue. Several items were reported stolen, including a laptop, a Sirrius satellite radio, an iPod, a purse, a gym bag containing clothing, a jacket and cash, car keys and magazines.

Citizens should remember to keep their vehicles locked at all times and always remove anything of value.

If anything of value must be stored in the vehicle, then it should be hidden from plain view or secured in the trunk.

Vigilance by locking vehicles and removing items of temptation will greatly reduce incidents of theft.

************************* Male charged with mischief

Twenty-two-year-old Gordon Brown was arrested on the 20th of February at 4:17 a.m. on Pim Street and charged with one count of mischief.

It is alleged that on the 20th of February at approximately 4 a.m., the accused, while in an intoxicated condition, damaged a door of a residence on Pim Street.

He is to appear in court on the 29th of March.
