Bunke Racing of Moorhead, MN has won the 44th I-500 Snowmobile Race in the Michigan Soo.

Gabe Bunke, aboard a Polaris, crossed the finish line at 7:16 this evening.

He ran in the top three all day.

The I-500 victory is Bunke’s third.

A first-time Canadian entry from Camrose, AB – Christian Brothers Racing – placed second on an Arctic Cat.

Holt, MN veteran Corey Davidson, also driving a Polaris and running for XLT Engineering/Stud Boy, was third.

Echo Bay's Antero Tarvudd, on a Ski-Doo for Fire Rite Racing, ended up 17th.

Despite unusually mild weather, the track held up and the finishers covered the full distance.
