Third arrest made in death of Brampton woman

On Friday, May 19, 2017, Peel Regional Police commenced an investigation into a missing 35-year-old woman from the Brampton area identified as Beata Paciorek. It is believed she was in the accompaniment of several parties operating a U-Haul rental truck headed into the Greater Sudbury area. Witness information has led investigators to the belief that Paciorek was murdered somewhere during her travels between Brampton and the Greater Sudbury area after an altercation at the roadside of a highway. 

On Saturday, May 20, 2017, Sault Ste. Marie Police under the direction of Peel Homicide officers arrested two parties for first degree murder. A 28-year-old man identified as Mike Madill of no fixed address and a 37-year-old woman identified as Amy MacDonald, also of no fixed address, were located and arrested in the Sault Ste. Marie area.  

On Sunday, May 21, 2017, Peel Homicide officers executed a search warrant on a U-Haul vehicle in the Sault. Ste. Marie area where the body of the victim was discovered deceased within the rear compartment. The victim was positively identified as the missing female Beata Paciorek.

On Tuesday, May 30, 2017, Peel Homicide officers made a third arrest in the investigation of a 32-year-old male identified as Rick Snow from Brampton for first degree murder. Snow will be held pending a bail hearing in Parry Sound on Wednesday, May 31, 2017.

The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Criminal Investigation Branch with the assistance of the West Parry Sound and North East Region OPP Crime Units also provided assistance with the incident.
