************************* Conservative Eastern and Northern Ontario members unite in Sault Ste. Marie

The Sault Ste. Marie Conservative Electoral District Association will be hosting members of the Eastern and Northern Ontario Conservative caucus for two days of meetings and networking, beginning Wednesday.

"We are proud to have members of the Eastern and Northern Ontario caucus visit Sault Ste. Marie as we continue to build momentum and upon the successes of the last election," said local Conservative president Josh Pringle.

Wednesday, Minister Rob Moore (minister of small business and tourism) and MP Greg Rickford (Kenora) will meet with local community leaders in the business and tourism sectors.

Later that evening Minister Moore will be the guest speaker at the local Conservative social.

"It's the first time we've hosted this type of event. It's a lot of work to put together but the Conservative party locally continues gain support and it's a great team building exercise," Pringle said. "Since the last election Sault Ste. Marie has been a targeted riding to win in the next election and we are ready to send a Conservative member to Ottawa."

This caucus event will raise the association's profile and war chest.

"We're financially sound, but we never stop building momentum or our war chest. We want to make sure we're ready when an election is called," Pringle said.

Thursday, members will be touring various projects funded by Canada's economic action plan, such as Algoma University, Sault College and the Canada Border Services Agency site at the International Bridge.

The evening will conclude with a gala dinner.
