There are some good people in this town

SooToday.com received the following letter from a loyal reader commending a couple local helpful folks. We thought, since the weather is cold, our readers could use some heartwarming and decided to share it with them.

Yesterday my 79-year old grandfather went outside to snow blow his drive and once outside he soon learned his snow blower was broken.

Instead of waiting for the gentleman who was supposed to do his driveway (who was running a little late from doing another errand) my grandfather grabbed a hold of his shovel and started to shovel his driveway.

Moments later a P.U.C truck turned the corner the driver of the truck stopped the truck.

Two gentlemen got out of the truck grabbed their shovels from the back and said to my papa, "looks like you could use some help sir."

They shoveled my papa's drive way for him and when they were done the refused the payment my grandfather had offered them.

What these men don't know is a couple months ago my grandfather was diagnosed with heart conditions.

I was so touched to know that there are people out there that still like to do go out of the kindness of their hearts.

Thank you to the men that helped my grandfather.

The good deed was well appreciated not just from him but the whole family.
