NEWS RELEASE

************************* 20-year-old Erica Ehikwe of 64 Grove Crescent was arrested yesterday just after 7 p.m. at the City Police Station and was charged with one count of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle.

It is alleged that on the 11th of April around 4 p.m. the accused was driving a motor vehicle southbound on Sackville Road when she stopped her car suddenly in front of a city bus, got out of her car with another female and entered on the bus.

The female exchanged words with three female passengers she appeared to be upset with and know.

The female had to be escorted off the bus by the driver.

It is alleged that the accused continued to follow the bus in her vehicle running a red light on Sackville Road and cutting off two vehicles on Great Northern Road and Bruce Street.

The accused followed the bus to the City bus terminal on Queen Street East, travelling the wrong way up Queen Street and blocked the entrance not allowing the bus entry.

The female drove away without further incident and the police were called to investigate the incident.

The accused is to appear in court on the 28th of May.
