The 2007 running of the tugs is on today in the St. Marys River.
The Great Tugboat Race will be making the river water boil starting at 12 noon on the Sault Ste. Marie waterfront.
The boats will run in heats starting with the smaller vessels and ending with the grudge match.
The Civic Centre is usually the most popular spot to watch on the Canadian side, and lots of Michiganders will be watching from Alfred Park.
Last night, the tuggers held their traditional Friday-night parade, and SooToday.com's Peter Gualtieri was on hand to capture it all on video.
