Saturday Art Making: Learn art techniques in drawing, painting, sculpture and mixed media taught by local artists and art educators. Hosted at the Art Gallery of Algoma, 50 East Street, from 10 a.m. to noon for ages 6 to 12 years. Session runs from January 25 to March 8. Call 705-949-0967 for details.

Saturday Art Club: Parents and children will work together to discover art in the studio and in the exhibition galleries. While exploring lots of art mediums, this class will provide opportunities for creative play and fun learning. Hosted at the Art Gallery of Algoma, 50 East Street, 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. for ages 3 to 5 years. Session runs from January 25 to March 8. Call 705-949-0967 for details.

The first Diamond Jim Elvis tribute with Tim E. and the Yes Men takes place at the Kiwanis Community Theatre Centre with two shows - 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. For tickets, call the Community Box Office at 705-945-7299.

Over the Rainbow Children's Entertainment Series presents Junie B. Jones Stupid Smelly Bus Tour at the Grand Theatre, 641 Queen St. East. Show time is 2 p.m. For ticket information, please visit www.ssmarts.org

Marc Charron plays Searchmont Resort from 3 to 6 p.m.

Midway plays the New American Pub, 602 Bay St., starting at 6 p.m.

Local filmmakers, Boyd Rendell and Mike Gingras, will screen their short films, The Last Strand and The Kid Who Made the Face, at Algoma University in room S-H4 at 7:30 p.m. These films are not suitable for all ages. Admission is $5 at the door.

Redline plays the Water Tower Pub, 360 Great Northern Rd., from 9 p.m. until midnight.

Spyder's Web returns to the Esquire Club, 102 Second Line West, to play from 9:30 p.m. until 1:30 a.m.

Border City plays Rednecks Saloon, 304 Albert St. West (former Nicolet Tavern), starting at 10 p.m.

Highway 17 performs at Docks Riverfront Grill, 89 Foster Dr. Show time is 10 p.m.

Thin Ice plays the Roosevelt Hotel, 306 Korah Rd., from 10 p.m. until close.

That's Chester is set to play the Rockstar Bar, 864 Queen St. East. The fun kicks off at 10:30 p.m.
