The Metro Retro Drive-In returns

Start your cars, Saultites. The Metro Retro Drive-In is returning this summer.

This event will take place at the Churchill location on July 9. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the first movie starts at 9:30 p.m.  

Admission is free, but attendees can make donations onsite using Interac Debit contactless payments, with all proceeds supporting local charities and food banks. Metro and Interac will match community charitable donations up to $150,000.

Start your car because Interac Corp. and Metro Grocery have partnered again to host more than 20 complimentary Drive-Ins at local grocery store parking lots across Ontario this summer.

Announced here, we’re transforming grocery store parking lots into the perfect movie experience and this is one of the many stops we’re making in more than 20 cities across Ontario.

The Metro Retro Drive-In, presented by Interac, provides the opportunity to connect with local vendors, artists and musicians in the community.  

The tour stops at the Metro Churchill location in Sault Ste Marie on July 9 . Doors open at 7:30 p.m., with one movie starting at 9:30 p.m. and the second starting around 11:30 p.m. 

The event features the family-favourite film, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, free movie snacks and an Instagram-worthy photo installation. 

Events are free, but attendees have the option of donating onsite using Interac Debit contactless payments, with all proceeds supporting local charities and food banks.  

The best part? Metro and Interac will be matching community charitable donations up to $150,000 as part of the program.
