14th Annual Sugar Island Traditional Pow Wow honouring our ancestors spiritual gathering runs from noon until 6 p.m. on Michigan's Sugar Island. Head veteran is Graz Shipman. Head male dancer is Abe Bouschor and head female dancer is Priscilla Pine. Host drum is Elk Spirit. This year’s master of ceremonies is Jody Gaskin and arena director is Don Silva.

The Skylark Drive-In, 1323 Trunk Road, will screen Cats and Dogs and The Other Guys. Movies begin at dusk.

Tym Morrison plays the Bottom's Up Lounge, 280 Queen Street east, starting at 10 p.m.

Turner Up performs at the Nicolet Tavern, 304 Albert Street West. Show time is 10 p.m.

Batchewana First Nation Pow Wow at the Rankin Pow Wow grounds begins with the grand entry at noon. There will be a feast at 5 p.m. Kevin Porter is the head male dancer and Chenoa Pain is the head female dancer. Eastern Thunder Bird Child is the host drum and White Frost Sobriety Drum is the co-host drum.

Harvest Festival at the Jocelyn Township Mountainview Centennial grounds features food and refreshments, booths, craft tables, games, animals, antique vehicle parade, live music, wagon and train rides, and a children fall fair.
