Snowshoe Guided Tour begins at 10:30 a.m. at Stokely Creek with snowshoe trail designers Lucie Gagnon and Bob Yankus. The snowshoe trails highlight the scenic beauty of the Algoma Highlands. Cost is $15 a day for adults and children under 12 are free. The event includes lunch at the King Mt summit or the Day Skiers Log Hut. Tickets are available at Algoma Bicycle, Velorution, Country Way Health Food, Garden of Eden Health Food, and Stokely Creek Lodge.

Galaxy Cinemas in the Station Mall presents, live from the Metropolitan Opera, Bizet's Carmen at 1 p.m. Tickets are available at the Galaxy Box Office.

The main branch of the Sault Public Library will screen Public Enemies (rated 14A) at 2 p.m.

Robbie Burns Celebration: The Royal Canadian Legion in Richards Landing on St. Joseph Island is holding a Robbie Burns Celebration. The event features roast beef and haggis, and music and dancing by AlgomaTrad and the McLeod Highland Dancers. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner at 6 p.m. Tickets are $25 and available at the Legion (246-2494), Ambeaults and Kents Korner.

World Religion Day: Unity and Diversity Sault Ste. Marie in partnership with the Baha’i community of Sault Ste. Marie and Algoma Multicultural Students’ Association will host World Religion Day. The celebration will be held at 2 .p.m at the Speak Easy in Algoma University. This annual event will focus on prayers and music from many faiths in the community. Included in the festivities are groups from the Jewish, Hindu, Buddhist, Christian, Islamic, First Nations and Baha’i faiths.
