Noël d'antan is a Christmas dinner dance presented by the Centre Francophone of Sault Ste Marie at the Royal Legion, 96 Great Northern Road. Tickets are $20 per person. For more information or to reserve your tickets, please contact the Francophone Center at 946-3632.

The Algoma Latin Association will screen Estacion Central from Brazil, at 7 p.m. in the Great West Life Amphitheatre (NW200) at Algoma University. Admission is free. For more information, visit www.algomafilms.com/latinfilmclub.html

Christmas Parade of Lights presented by the Sault Michigan Downtown Business Association begins at Parkers Hardware at 7 p.m., ending with the Christmas tree lighting at the City/County building on Court Street.

Soo Greyhounds vs Plymouth Whalers at the Essar Centre. Game time is 7:30 p.m.

The Musical Comedy Guild presents Rent at the Kiwanis Community Theatre Centre, 1007 Trunk Rd, at 8 p.m. Tickets available at the Theatre Box Office in the Station Mall, or by calling (705) 945-7299.

Sean Ashby performs at the Bottom's Up Lounge, 280 Queen Street East (upstairs), at 9 p.m.

Thin Ice pplays the Esquire Club, 103 Second Line West, from 10 p.m. until close.

Bone Yard plays the newly renovated Canadian Night Club, 410 Pim Street (in the Knights Inn), starting at 10 p.m.

The Spades return to Loplops Gallery-Lounge, 651 Queen Street East. Show time is 10 p.m.

Renewable Energy Workshop & Tradeshow takes place at Sault College's Multimedia Centre. The workshop happens from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the free trade show from 3 to 6 p.m. Admission to the workshop is $10 which includes lunch. For more information, call Angie Wagner at 942-7927 ext 3133.

Christmas with the SteelTown Silver Band features variety of religious and secular music to celebrate the Christmas season at Willowgrove United Church at 7 p.m. The evening of entertainment will also feature presentations by well known local Algoma Conservatory of Music artists, vocalist Johnee Rae Whalen and pianist Esther Kang. Tickets are $10. Children 12 and under admitted free.

MacLeod Highland Dance Studio presents Celtic Christmas at Korah Collegiate Auditorium at 7 p.m., featuring Christmas music, dance, and voice with a Celtic flare. Tickets available at the Theatre Box Office in the Station Mall, or by calling (705) 945-7299.

Movies @ the Soo Theatre will screen Miracle on 34th Street (1947) at 2 p.m. at the Soo Theatre in downtown Sault Michigan. Admission is $5.

The Nightmare Before Christmas will screen at the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library Main Branch at 2:30 p.m. Admission is free.

Sault Steelers host a Grey Cup party at the Canadian Night Club, 410 Pim Street. Team members will "stuff a Sante Fe" at 4:30 p.m. to raise funds for the Red Cross.

Catherine Taddo and Lindsay Pugh perform at the Steamy Bean Coffee Company, 357 Great Northern Road, from 8 to 10 p.m.

The Artist Life from Toronto performs at Nite Life (formerly Glow), 119 Gore Street, with special guests Talk Sh*t. Doors open at 8 p.m. Admission is $3.

@ the Movies: Fantastic Mr. Fox, Ninja Assassin, Old Dogs, The Blind Side and so much more at Galaxy Cinema, Station Mall.
