Sugar Island Musicfest features food, vendors, crafters and music all day long. Take the Sugar Island Ferry and follow the signs. Live music from artists near and far. Admission is $10 for a three-day button or $6 for daily passes. On-site rustic camping is available for $15 for the weekend. Call (906) 635-3007 for more information.

Sault Historyfest takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. behind the Pullar Center, on Water Street Historic Block in Sault Michigan. Any proceeds raised will go to restoration of the Baraga House. Planned events include a fish boil, music and entertainment, food booths, native crafts, children's activities, birch bark canoe building, 1812 re-enactors and much more. The Skylark Drive-In (1323 Trunk Road) screens Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince and The Proposal at dusk. Gates open at 9 p.m. Call (705) 949-9292 for more information.

Jacob and Lily perform with special guest Renee Landry at Auld Kirk, 234 Main Street in Thessalon, from 8 to 11 p.m.

The Wooden Sky plays Arcadia Coffee House, 823 Queen Street East, with Guests Kalle Mattson. Show time is 8 p.m. Admission is $7 at the door. This is an all-ages event.

Big Wheel and the Spokes perform at Loplops Gallery-Lounge, 651 Queen Street East, starting at 10 p.m.

Mark Kulmala plays at the Bottom's Up Lounge, 280 Queen Street East. Show time is 10 p.m.

Wishbone are set to play the Algonquin Hotel, 864 Queen Street East (downstairs), at 10:30 p.m.

Blueberries, Blackflies and Bears celebrates the blueberry at the Old Stone House Heritage site with a traditional pancake breakfast from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call (705) 759-5443 for further information.

Art in the Park celebrates summer as the Arts Council of Sault Ste. Marie and District hosts more than 40 artists and artisans, great musical entertainment, food and beverage vendors, and great activities for kids (including arts and crafts, a drum circle and free yoga session) at the Roberta Bondar Pavilion. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free.

Woods of Ypres play its only Sault gig this year at Algoma U's Speak Easy Pub with guests Inflict and Necropolis. Doors open at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door.
