Drop-In Family Story Time and Crafts from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at the Sault Library Main Branch is open to children and parents of all ages. This is a free event. Call (705) 759-5241 for more information.

Neil Young will keep on rockin' in the free world at the Essar Centre with special guest Everest. Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the show commencing at 7:30 p.m. Call the Essar Centre at 1-866-775-9422 for ticket availability.

Dancing Through History is an interpretation of the evolution of dance by dance students at Lake Superior State University. Show time is 7:30 p.m. in the LSSU Arts Center auditorium. Ticket prices are $7 for general admission, $5 for students with valid ID and seniors, and $3 for children under 12. Tickets will be available at the door. Bring an instrument to the Friday Night Jam Group at the Moose Lodge on Trunk Rd. to make music for the fun of making music. Everything kicks off at 8 p.m. Yes, there is a dance floor.

Galaxy Cinemas presents an encore performance of the Metropolitan Opera: Live in HD featuring Puccini's Madama Butterfly at 1 p.m. Tickets available at the Galaxy Cinema Box Office.

Will Paint For Food at Arcadia Coffee House, 823 Queen St. E., features live painting, two DJs and prizes. All proceeds donated to local charities. This event runs from 3 to 10 p.m.

Time Travelers play the Royal Canadian Legion, 96 Great Northern Rd. The music kicks off at 9 p.m.

Algoma Pride Dance at Algoma U's Speak Easy Pub begins at 10 p.m. Admission is $5 at the door, or $3 for students with valid ID.

DJ Ashe and Damaging D spin a night of house and tech trance at the Bottom's Up Lounge, 280 Queen St. E. (upstairs), starting at 10 p.m.
