Rock on! at the Sault Ste. Marie Public Library Main Branch. Area teens are invited to challenge friends to Rock Band, Guitar Hero and other games from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Free snacks and refreshments will be available. Call (705) 759-5229 for further details.

YMCA Rocks presents its original rock opera Nothing To Do in Sault Ste. Marie at the Grand Theatre, 641 Queen St. E. This will be followed by a good old-fashioned battle of the bands, featuring Waterslide, The Outside, Train Junkie and many more. Doors open at 7 p.m. Admission is by donation to Strong Kids. This is an all-ages event.

Join the Battlestar Galactica Finale Party at the Bottom's Up Lounge, 280 Queen St. E. (upstairs) to watch the series end on the big screen, starting with The last Frakken Special at 7 p.m.

Family Day, hosted by the Algoma Multicultural Centre, offers free food and beverages, free entertainment and free admission. This celebration commemorating the Day for the Elimination of Racism takes place at the Steelworkers Union Hall (68 Dennis St.) starting at 11:30 a.m.

Skating the 70s is the Hiawatha Skating Club's 68th annual Silver Blades Revue presented at Sault Michigan's Pullar Stadium. Show times are 1 p.m. and 7 p.m. Admission is $8 for reserved seats, $7 for adults, and $5 for seniors and students aged 5 and over.

Family Movies @ Bayliss will screen The Land Before Time at 1 p.m. at the Bayliss Public Library in Sault Michigan. Admission is free. Popcorn is available by donation.

Galaxy Cinemas presents the Metropolitan Opera: Live in HD featuring Bellini's La Sonnambula at 1 p.m. Tickets available at the Galaxy Cinema Box Office.
