They came, they rocked and they conquered.
Motley Crüe honoured Sault Ste. Marie as the first big show at the new Steelback Centre Wednesday night with a rockin' display of lights, pyrotechnics and musicianship.
From the opening song, Dr. Feelgood to the final encore, a cover of the Sex Pistols' Anarchy in the UK the Crüe had all 6 thousand audience members in the palm of their well-seasoned hands.
After doing what they do for 25 years, they have a trick or two up their sleeves to get the spectators up and at 'em.
"When Tommy speaks, people listen," is what I said to a friend at the show as everyone in the arena hung on Tommy's every word.
The impact this show had on the city was evident as I walked to my car surrounded by people singing Crüe tunes and vehicles beeping with fans hanging out the windows.
A full photo gallery of the show will be posted Thursday night in the entertainment section.
