************************* '18 Forever' Committee raises $23,000 for hospice, Sault Area Hospital Foundation

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON - (January 22) - The “18 Forever” Committee presented the Algoma Residential Community Hospice and the Sault Area Hospital Foundation with a total of $23,000 today.

The money was raised from their “18 Forever” community concert featuring over 43 performers.

The musicians gathered the first week of December in the Sault to rehearse and perform for what was billed as a “Rock and Roll Revival”.

Over 3,000 Saultites attended the event.

Some of the performers and fans made the trek to their former hometown from California, British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and all parts of Ontario.
