SooToday.com received the following notes from faithful readers Lisa Damignani and Trish McMaster, about a kind-hearted act in Sault Ste. Marie on Sunday.

*************************** Original letter - received Monday

It's great to know that there are still nice kids out there.

My daughter and six of her friends, in Grade 7 at River View Public School, were walking down the street Sunday when an elderly lady fell onto the sidewalk.

The lady was on the ground and the kids stopped to help wipe the blood from her face, and help her get up.

A car also pulled over to assist them, and then he and his wife drove her to the hospital where she would get stitches, and the kids stayed there until she was gone.

I am so proud of those kids that they took the time to help someone that they didn't know.    Thanks,

Lisa Damignani

*************************** 6:19 a.m. Tuesday update

The lady that fell on Sunday was my grandmother.

I would like to thank the girls and the nice couple who stopped to help her very much.

They took her to my parents' house and my mother took her down to emergency where she was well taken care of.

Sincerely, Trish McMaster.
