Member of Parliament for Sault Ste. Marie, Terry Sheehan, is inviting employers to attend an information session on the Canada Summer Jobs program.

The initiative provides funding for not-for-profit organizations, public-sector employers, and small businesses with 50 or fewer employees to create summer job opportunities for young people aged 15 to 30 years who are full-time students intending to return to their studies in the next school year.

“I’m very pleased that the federal government has committed to an increase in funding to the Canada Summer Jobs program and I want to ensure that my office does everything we can to help employers with the application process,” said Sheehan.

The session will be held:

Time: 10:30 a.m.
Location: Russ Ramsay Room at City Hall

The application period for Canada Summer Jobs closes on February 26, 2016.
