UNITED STEELWORKERS LOCAL 2251

************************* In a marathon bargaining session, Local 2251 and Algoma Steel inc. have reached a tentative agreement.

Local Union 2251 is agreeing to extend the current collective agreement up to an additional five days to allow the members to be informed and for a ratification vote to take place.

All members of Local 2251 are urged to continue to report to work as scheduled.

Times and dates of information meetings and the ratification vote will be published as soon as arrangements can be made.

The executive and negotiating committee of Local 2251 wishes to thank the members for their overwhelming support demonstrated during these negotiations which helped us achieve a fair and reasonable memorandum of agreement.
