*************************** LSSU seeks input on general education from upperclassmen

SAULT STE. MARIE, MI - Lake Superior State University seniors planning to graduate in May, June, or December of 2010 are encouraged to sign up for the Senior Exit Test to take place this month on campus.

The test has the potential to greatly improve future curriculums for fellow and incoming students attending LSSU.

The testing is part of a continuing effort led by the LSSU General Education Committee to assess the suitability of general education requirements for departments and programs.

By using the SET and assessment data, the committee provides feedback to departments, schools, and programs so those areas may make qualified decisions regarding general education.

This test is a chance for all seniors to voice their opinions about the education they have received while attending LSSU.

Student participation is essential to the process.

Seniors may take this 40-minute test in the LSSU testing center, rm. 253 of the Shouldice Library.

There are several sessions to accommodate student schedules, but special arrangements may also be made with Carol Boger of the testing center if the available sessions are not suitable.

Students are asked to consult their department chairs to register by 5 p.m. on the day before they plan to take the test.

Visit lssu.edu for a complete schedule of testing dates, or see below.
