Teen trashes Christmas decorations at group home

******************** A 16-year-old youth has been charged with two counts of threatening to cause death or bodily harm, one count of assault, one count of breach of probation and two counts of mischief under $5,000.

It is alleged that yesterday the accused threatened two staff members in the group home where the accused resides.

It is further alleged that the accused assaulted one of the staff by raising his/her fist and threatening the staff member.

It is further alleged that the accused then began to punch and head-butt several items in the home as well as destroying the decorations on the Christmas tree.

It is further alleged that the accused kicked the front door several time causing the frame to break and the inside wall to crack.

At the time of the offence the accused was on probation.
