************************* One death confirmed in single snowmobile collision – Point Au Baril
POINT AU BARIL, ON - Ontario Provincial Police are investigating a single snowmobile collision that occurred today at approximately 12 noon.
The snowmobile, a black ZL Arctic Cat 440 was being operated on the main channel in Point Au Baril when it collided with a partially obstructed dock.
The docks were covered in fresh snowfall from the flurries on Wednesday March 12.
The driver was taken to the West Parry Sound Health Centre by ambulance where he succumbed to his injuries.
Deceased is Lucas West, age 13, a resident of Pointe Au Baril.
Next of kin notifications have been made.
OPP TTCI remain at the scene while the investigation is continuing.
PC Ben Sidney of Still River is investigating.
