Teen caught after escaping from youth facility

************************* Last evening officers arrested a 17-year-old youth and charged him with one count of being unlawfully at large and one count of breach of probation under the Yoth Criminal Justice Act.

It is alleged that on the 13th of December the youth escaped from the youth facility he was in.

At the time of the offence he was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be good.

He will appear in bail court this morning.

************************* Yesterday morning officers from Patrol Services arrested two 14-year-old youths after attending at an address for a family dispute call.

It is alleged that a 14-year-old female damaged several pieces of property including an antique clock.

At the time of the offence the youth was on a release document not to molest, harass or annoy her parents.

She has been charged with one count of mischief under $5,000 and one count of breach of a release order.

The 14-year-old male in the home was on probation with conditions to attend school and also to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

He has been charged with two counts of breach of probation under the Youth Criminal Justice Act and will also appear in bail court this morning.

************************* Just after 3 a.m. this morning officers from Patrol Services arrested a 16-year-old youth and charged him with five counts of breach of probation under the YCJA.

It is alleged that on December 12 and 13 the accused failed to abide by his curfew conditions as well as the conditions of keep the peace and be good.

He will also appear in bail court this morning.
