Teen arrested in Prentice Avenue break-ins

************************* A 16-year-old male youth has been arrested in connection to the break and enters reported over the weekend on Prentice Avenue.

The youth was arrested at 7:25 p.m. at the City Police Station and has been charged with two counts of break, enter and commit and one count of mischief under $5,000.

It is alleged that on the 23rd of September between the hours of 1:30 and 4 a.m. the accused, along with two other male youths who cannot be named at this time, broke into two garages on Prentice Avenue and stole two snowboards, two pairs of snowboard boots, a pair of hockey gloves, four speakers, a computer tower and a mountain bike.

Total value of items stolen was $1,300.

All the property was recovered by City Police.

The accused is to appear in court on the 23rd of October.
