The 406-foot tanker Emerald Star (shown) was safely moored at the Purvis Marine dock today after running aground earlier this week about 300 yards away.

Boatnerd.com says that divers have found a dent near the Number 3 ballast tank but no leaking or hull holes are reported.

The web site reports that the Star was refloated after its cargo of petroleum products was shifted between tanks last night.

The 2002 edition of Know Your Ships lists the Emerald Star's owner as Rigel Shipping Canada Inc. of Shediac, New Brunswick.

The vessel was built in 1992 and has a draft of 34 feet, nine inches.
