At least 70 people were burnt to death in the southern state of Anambra in Nigeria when a fuel tanker exploded Friday. Five mini buses, one packed with school children were among the vehicles reported consumed in the massive blaze.

The tanker was working its way across large potholes on the Enugu-Onitsha highway when it overturned spilling fuel across the road, reports the This Day newspaper.

Several vehicles collided with the tanker sparking the explosion.
