Five mini buses, one packed with school children were among the vehicles reported consumed in the massive blaze.

The tanker was working its way across large potholes on the Enugu-Onitsha highway when it overturned spilling fuel across the road, reports the This Day newspaper.

Several vehicles collided with the tanker sparking the explosion.
