Sweaty, half-naked, smelly Swollen Member (16 photos)

Last night, SooToday.com's Donna Hopper told Swollen Members' Prevail that he was her very first interview as a journalist.

A huge grin spread across his face.

"That's so cool," Prevail said following last night's performance at the Canadian Night Club.

"Are you still doing it?" he asked.

To which Hopper replied: "Yes."

"Excellent! That's so dope!" he said just before giving her a hug.

A big sweaty, kinda smelly hug.

But he was topless for said hug, so she didn't mind so much.

There may have been a few jealous girls watching.

During Swollen Members' buoyant performance, the front of the stage was crammed with fans of the female persuasion all grabbing and clawing at Prevail's shirt in an attempt to sneak a peek at his buff tattooed physique.

He did offer a few glimpses, but what he and fellow MC MadChild (shown), were really interested in doing was delivering a performance the audience wouldn't forget.

And despite a few minor technical issues, they did just that.

Along with DJ Rob the Viking and Tre Nyce, Prevail and MadChild easily whipped the crowd of about 160 into a hip hop lather, and appeared to be having a blast while doing it.

Recently turning his life around after an Oxycontin-and-Percocet addiction, legal turmoil with his record label and run-ins with the law due to his gang associations, MadChild's disposition was far more cordial at this performance compared to the last time Swollen Members appeared in the Sault just over three years ago.

He was gracious and happy to meet with fans following this show, rather than storm off stage refusing to do an encore as he did last time.

It's a welcome change in the dedicated performer whose influence is felt throughout Canada's hip hop landscape.
