************************* Yesterday afternoon just after 4 p.m. officers from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Traffic Services Section attended at Conmee Avenue and Carmen's Way for a motor vehicle collision that sent one person to Sault Area Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A 49-year-old male was travelling northbound on Carmen's Way in a white SUV.

A green SUV operated by a 46-year-old female was travelling westbound on Conmee Avenue and allegedly failed to stop for the stop sign.

The vehicles collided in the intersection and the white SUV spun, left the roadway and ended up in a ditch.

The green SUV also spun but remained on the roadway.

The green vehicle sustained severe damage and the white vehicle was demolished.

The 46-year old female driver has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario with one count of disobey stop sign-fail to stop.
