A motorist heading east on Second Line East experienced a nasty shock just outside Superior Heights around 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
The left front tire of his dark blue SUV suddenly became detached from the vehicle, flying into the westbound lane. There were no injuries but the driver of the SUV told SooToday he was a bit shaken up.
One city police cruiser reported to the scene.
It is believed there was no damage to other vehicles passing by.
