No one was taken to hospital

An SUV was left smashed and upside down in the middle of the road after a collision at Bay Street and Brock Street on Saturday.

No one was taken to hospital said Sault Ste. Marie Fire Services Platoon Chief Jeff Lajoie.

At around 12:20 p.m. a beige Honda CR-V and a grey Toyota Corolla collided and shortly after Fire Services, Emergency Medical Services and Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrived on scene.

A child's booster seat was left laying on the road next to the Honda Cr-V however there were no children in the vehicle at the time of the collision and no extrication was required said Lajoie.

The sign for The Bay Tower apartment building was cracked and had tire tracks leading up to it.

A woman on scene who was identified as the driver of the Corolla said she did not notice hitting the sign but that she might have in the chaos and not realized it.
