Investigation revealed that persons unknown were cutting scrap steel from the building and it is believed that the fire began as a result of a grinder or cutting-torch spark.

Three vehicles were observed leaving the area around the same time as the fire.

They are described as being in a black Dodge pickup, a grey Dodge pickup and red Ford pickup truck.

Damage to the building was minor due to the quick response from the Aweres Fire Department.

************************* Buckle up

SAULT STE. MARIE, ON – The 2010 Spring Beat Belt Campaign will begin today and run until Saturday, April 24.

It only takes two seconds to buckle up and everybody knows wearing a seatbelt can save your life.

Based on Ontario’s collision data, unbelted drivers are nearly 38 more times more likely to be killed than belted drivers in similar collisions.

But did you know that wearing a seatbelt isn’t just about you?

In a crash, unbelted backseat passengers can become high-speed projectiles and can injure or kill other people in the vehicle.

Wearing a seatbelt is the single most effective thing you can do to protect yourself and others in a motor vehicle collision.

In less than 24 hours a 24-year-old male and a 23-year-old female died here in the northeast region as a result of not wearing a seatbelt.

Seatbelts saves lives.

What’s holding you back?
