Suspects named in OxyContin robbery

Sault Ste. Marie Police Service have today named the four individuals arrested in connection with this week's OxyContin robbery at Shoppers Drug Mart on Second Line West.

Here is the police statement, as issued today:

************************* Accused males arrested and charged

Nineteen-year-old Andre Cormier of 317 North Street has been charged with one count of robbery, one count of possession of property obtained by crime, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance and one count of breach of probation.

Twenty-one-year-old Aaron Raschke of 170 Church Street has been charged with one count of robbery, one count of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance, one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking a controlled drug or substance and one count of possession of property obtained by crime.

Twenty-nine-year-old Derek Roberts of #4 Alpine Street has been charged with one count of robbery, one count of possession of property obtained by crime and one count of possession for the purpose of trafficking in a controlled drug or substance.

Twenty-four-year-old Mark Strain of 431 Albert Street West has been charged with one count of robbery, one count of possession of a controlled drug or substance and one count of possession of property obtained by crime. He was also charged with an additional count of use stolen credit card in relation to unrelated incident he was wanted on.

All four accused males are to appear in bail court this morning.

The investigation is ongoing and there are no further details to be released at this time.
