Suspect sought in Echo Bay theft

The Sault Ste. Marie detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, and Crime Stoppers, are seeking the public’s assistance in solving a theft.

In the early morning on Oct. 21, an unknown male attended a residence located at 44 Birch St. in Echo Bay.

The male can be seen walking toward a white Ford Escape, which was located in the driveway. Check out the video footage here.

The male gained entry into the vehicle by opening the driver’s door.

Once inside the vehicle, the male removed an Apple iPad and a small amount of change.

Police believe this male was also involved in other thefts from vehicles.

At this time, the Sault Ste. Marie OPP is requesting assistance in identifying the suspect.
