************************* 21-year-old Steven Mancuso of 3 East Perth Bay was arrested on the 10th of December and charged with one count of consume over the legal limit.

The accused was stopped on Wellington Street East near East Street during a RIDE checkpoint.

************************* The RIDE Program was out on the weekend and officers checked 910 vehicles, conducted 15 roadside tests, issued eight 12-hour suspensions, charged four persons with drinking and driving related offences and issued 16 other charges with the majority of them being Highway Traffic Act-related.

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is again reminding the public that the RIDE program will be out over the holiday season.
