"I'm not going to tell you you have a nice city. I won't blow sunshine up your a**. I'm here to crush Spencer Rice. Spenny sucks."

That was the greeting Kenny Hotz gave the audience piled underneath the Roberta Bondar tent pavilion tonight.

Kenny Hotz is one-half of the Toronto-based television show Kenny vs. Spenny.

Kenny and his crew have been in the Sault for the last few days filming an upcoming episode for their Showcase series.

If you've been living underneath a rock recently and you haven't heard of Kenny vs. Spenny, the premise is simple.

Friendship. Rivalry. Humiliation.

The two best friends choose challenges for each other and get filmed while performing them.

Challenges range from trying to see who can kiss the most girls or seeing who can go the longest without speaking.

At the end of the show the loser suffers a humiliation chosen by the victor.

In the episode filmed today Kenny and Spenny were supposed to meet in an arm wrestling competition.

However, Kenny had something different in mind.

The two stars were each given three days to work out for the competition.

While Spenny was off in southern Ontario, Kenny called 20 different Spencer Rices across Canada and the U.S.

The only one to answer back was 14-year-old Saultbie Spencer Rice.

Kenny said his friend Spenny, real name Spencer Rice, didn't specify which Spencer Rice he had to beat in an arm wrestle.

So the ever-so-sneaky Kenny chose our very own Spencer Rice.

When Spencer first got the call back he tried to play it cool.

"I had a calm voice, but I was very excited. I've been a fan of the show for a while now," he said.

Friends, family and fans of Spencer held signs and cheered for him as he made his grand entrance in a white limo.

Kenny received sporadic cheers and plenty of hisses as he strutted into the pavilion.

Guest referee was Mayor Rowswell, who kept a close eye on Kenny to make sure he wasn't cheating.

And what did Kenny think of our mayor?

"I was in his office and I asked him to take me to the Sault zoo. He said there wasn't a zoo, but now I see him dressed like a zebra," Kenny said with a laugh. "Wow, that was a bad joke."

SooToday.com regrets to inform you that we can't share who won the arm wrestling competition this evening.

We wouldn't want to ruin the episode for you.

But you won't have to wait long.

Season 3 of Kenny vs. Spenny starts October 16.
