************************ Mischief

On Saturday at approximately 3:50 a.m., members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 24-year-old male for mischief and breach of probation.

It is alleged that the accused threw a rock through a window at The Beer Store on Bruce Street.

It is further alleged that at the time of this offence the accused was on probation with conditions to keep the peace and be good.

Tyler Ross, age 24, of 110 Grosvenor Street is charged with one count of mischief and one count of breach of probation.

The broken window was valued at $1,000.

************************* Mischief, resisting arrest

On Sunday, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 33-year-old male for mischief, resisting arrest and breach of probation.

It is alleged that the accused male damaged a vehicle on Boston Avenue.

It is further alleged that when police arrived and went to arrest the accused, who was intoxicated, he resisted arrest.

At the time of these offences the accused was on probation with conditions to not consume alcohol and to keep the peace.

Lawrence Davies, age 33, of 41 Boston Avenue is charged with one count of mischief, one count of resist arrest and two counts of breach of probation.

************************* Breach of recognizance

On Saturday, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 37-year-old male for breach of a recognizance.

It is alleged that on July 2, the accused contacted his ex-girlfriend on two occasions.

At the time of this offence the accused was on a recognizance release order with conditions to not communicate with his ex-girlfriend.

The accused is charged with one count of breach of a recognizance.

************************* Assault

On Friday, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 19-year-old male for mischief and assault.

It is alleged that the accused assaulted his ex-common-law wife by slapping and punching her.

It is further alleged that on July 6, the accused damaged a television belonging to the victim.

The accused is charged with one count of assault and one count of mischief.

The victim did not require medical attention.

************************* Failing to appear for identification

On Friday, members of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested an 18-year-old female for failing to appear for identification.

It is alleged that, on June 21, the accused failed to attend at the Sault Ste. Marie police station for the purpose of fingerprinting.

Keyleigh Downey, age 18, of 29 Ferguson Avenue, is charged with one count of failing to appear for the purpose of identification.

Ms. Downey is to appear in court on August 8 at 9 a.m.

************************* Break and enter

An apartment in the 300 block of Albert Street East was entered - electronics and food items were reported stolen.

************************* Mischief

There were two reports of lawn ornaments being damaged in the 900 block of Wallace Terrace.

Vehicles were damaged in the following locations:

- The 100 block of Breton Road. - The 200 block of Bay Street, - The 100 block of Terry Fox Place, - The 600 block of MacDonald Avenue. - The 200 block of Great Northern Road. - The 100 block of Millcreek Drive. - The 100 block of Market Street, - The 200 block of Meadow Park Crescent.

************************* Theft

- An orange and black dirt bike was stolen off a pickup truck in the 100 block of South Market Street.

- A bicycle was stolen from the 200 block of St. Mary’s River Drive.

- A purse was stolen from the 100 block of John Street.
