Soo Finnish Nordic ski club started it's new Biathlon Bears program this Saturday with 25 kids attending the Biathlon Demo Day.

The club was granted money from Biathlon Canada to start the Biathlon Bears program last Spring. Volunteers have been working hard for the past several months to get the program up and running.

Some have obtained their Gold Level Coaching certification and many have spent several hours cleaning and repairing older equippment that has not been used in some time.

Everything we wished for came true today. We asked the public to come and try Biathlon and they did dispite the rainy day.

All the kids left with of safe rifle handling skills, full of mud wearing big smiles.
